Finally... and so on...

My weight has been steady at around 88,3 - 88,5 kg for about 2 weeks now. I hate when I hit these plateau times, where nothing moves and I'm just not continuing to lose weight, no matter how careful I am, or how much sports I do...

But this morning, I had 88,0 kg! Yeah! It's moving again. Only 0,5 kg, and I've reached my first goal! :):) Took long enough... *sigh* Three months for 10 kg this time around. I wish I would remember this time, whenever I start eating sweets and junk food again. But I tend to forget. And then I'm back where I started.

We'll see.

Cilli has started playing tennis over in Australia. Maybe, when she gets back, we'll join a club together. Though it's been about 35 years since I last held a racquet. But I'm sure I'll remember how it went. And we're not trying to win any tournaments here... ^^ We'll see.

I'm getting close to my vacation time, I can feel it. I'm starting to lose my drive. I wake up tired, I go to bed tired, I sleep badly. I can't really muster up any enthusiasm for my work. Or anything else for that matter. I'm getting to the point where I *need* my vacation. Not only *want* it.

It's like I can feel my inner batteries slowly starting to run out. A whole year with almost no time off always wears me down. But... only around 3 more weeks to go, then I'm off to Italy again! Yeah! :)

Thank you!

Yes, I do. Except for the being-tired-because-I-need-a-vacation part, I do feel a lot better. Much more in tune with myself. I like dressing up a bit again. I even use make-up sometimes these days, when I go out!

And Ive always been a firm believer of the idea that *some* of that fat in my body isn't on my hips, but between my ears! And when I get rid of some of it, my brain functions better again... :)

Actually, I think there was a study done just recently that showed a correlation between the BMI and intelligence? Have to go look for that one... So that kind of validates my theory, doesn't it? *ggg*

Vacation is good! Vacation is important! I'm getting very close to the end of my rope here...

Yeah, that's what I keep asking myself for the other 335 days of the year... *sigh*

One can always use more vacation time, right?

That's wonderful! It's so very hard to keep at it week after week when nothing is happening. I guess that's the time when friends and support groups help the most.

It is. You get so tempted so say to hell with it all. But that's where discipline kicks in. I 'sinned' today, but that means I have to go biking tomorrow. :) And not eat dinner. :)

Yupp! Without everyone cheering me on, I couldn't do it!

*swats* You don't skip meals! You just behave better! :D
Congrats on getting off the plateau... I need a good shove myself. *sigh*

Weeeeell... I do, on occasion... Mostly, when I forget. Like... breakfast? >.> But I don't splurge on the next meal, even when I *did* forget breakfast, I just eat the normally allowed meal. And even though I 'sinned' yesterday afternoon (went to sit out in the sun at a local café, had a slice of apple-pie with whipped cream and a cappucchino), I then had a 'normal' diet meal for dinner. So this way I balance the 'sin' out.

I hate those plateaus... they make you depressed and it doesn't take much to make you give up. Only because I'm *feeling* really well after already losing so much, I can continue. I'm going to stick with it until the very day that I go on vacation. That should be good for another kg or so... :)

Oh, Europe, you and your kilograms... :)

Genesis: "Tennis? Excellent. I have a racket myself."

Please don't ask where it's been.

Cloud: "You're gonna see Italy?" *bounce* "Tell him hi for me!"

We've been watching a lot of Hetalia. :)

Okay... I'm not going to think about that one... I'm trying... not... Damn! Now I've got these wierd images in my mind! >.>

Yes, I'm going to see Italy. I'll wave (all 16 hour drive long). ^^ I'm looking forward to it. I *need* this vacation... :)

Hey, pounds make total sense. :) Actually I'm not good with measurements of any kind.

Yeah. Best not to think about it...

You can drive to Italy. That is such crazy awesomeness.

Cloud: "You and Italy can have pasta! YAY!"

Oh my, is that a real life Angeal? Genesis and Zack are now fighting over it. :)

:) I'm glad I can handle kilograms. ^___^

I'm actually quite close to the Italian border. Just have to do a quick flit through Austria, then I'm already in Italy. Of course, Naples is almost at the *other* end of Italy, so it's a long drive. :)

I'm quite looking forward to the pasta, yes. And all the wonderfully fresh tomatoes, and the *best* lemons that you can imagine, and the fresh mozzarella, and... As you can see, I'm thinking about the food already. ^^

Yes, it is! Isn't it absolutely yummylicious? *drools*

Zack: "Oh Gaia, don't mention Austria to her. She gets all sniffly and starts singing about edelweiss."

I'm a geek, I fangirl over countries, yes.

*snicker*

We're really just right next door to Austria. Maybe 45 minutes, and I'm over the border and in Bregenz, down at Lake Constance. It's really not very far from here... :) I can drive down to Vienna in about 4 or so hours - if there's no traffic. :)

AUSTRIA!

Cloud: "We saw a movie about Austria once! Everybody sang a lot. Do you do that in Bavaria too?"

Basically just around the corner...

*cough* Well, we *do* like to sing, but not as much as in the movie. That was a long time ago... These days, we aren't as carefree anymore... *sigh*

No more singing? Aw, too bad.

Cloud: "Do you still do puppet shows? I liked the puppet show. It had sheep!" *bounce bounce*

With IPod and MP3, singing has gone out of style...

We have a very large puppet theatre not too far from here, in Augsburg (about 40 minutes drive). It's one of the most well known, since they also did a lot of productions for TV. You can see the website (unfortunately only in German) here:

Cloud: "So there's still puppets? YAY! I like puppets, especially sheep ones. Amarissia gets twitchy around puppets 'cause she says she saw scary ones in a Swedish movie once, but puppets are awesome! Do the puppets sing?" *bounce bounce*

These are really nice puppets. And yes, they also sing, sometimes. I actually grew up with a TV series that was invented by the Augsburger Puppenkiste - it was called "Urmel from the Ice" and featured a small dinosaur, that was discovered in the ice - or rather, the egg was, and Urmel hatched out of that. Then Urmel had lots and lots of adventures, most of them really funny and maybe sometimes a little bit scary. Just the right combination for kids. :)

Urmel? Cute. :)

Cloud: "So he was a nice dinosaur, not a mean one? Amarissia says dinosaurs were mostly grumpy and not good for pets."

I was obsessed with dinosaurs as a kid. Like, I knew every species and their characteristics. :)

*Very* cute dinosaur. And very nice. Always looked after his friends, and tried to help them get out of scrapes. And I think he could even sing... :)

Dinosaurs are fun! I love reading about all the new ones they keep finding! :)

Cloud: "RAVEN!" *slides paper through portal* "I drew you a picture! It's a dinosaur with lots of butterfly friends." *giggles* "Do you think real dinosaurs could sing?"
Sephy: "Probably not, Cloudy."

Way cool!!! Definitely going to join the collection of favorite art on my wall! Thank you! *HUGHUGHUG*

Unfortunately, I don't think they could sing. Though... to be honest... we don't really *know*, do we? So it *could* be... :)
