It's finally starting to feel and look like spring. We had sun yesterday! To be honest, I've almost forgotten what *sun* looks like. >.> We've had so many weeks and weeks of gray, cold, cloudy weather, with sleet, rain, snow, and other unpleasantries, that I've more or less forgotten what a sunny day can be like. A sunny *warm* day. *sigh*

At least, things are happening.

Today, my still-husband moved most of his furniture out of his room into his new appartment.

He's still got quite a bit of stuff here - mostly, because his new place is very small, and right underneath the roof (not really an attic apartment, but something like it), with the ceiling sloping down really low, so he can't put anything up along the walls. But still, he took most of the larger pieces with him and the rest will be moved bit by bit. I made up a box of food-stuff for him, adding some pots and pans, because he was *definitely* going to forget about the fact that he has to cook his own food now! ^___^

We still have to do all the paperwork and agreements and money things, but since we're not separating in anger, that's something we'll take care of bit by bit. I want to rent out the two free rooms here in the house soon, but for the moment, I'm going to enjoy the quiet and the solitude. Until Cilli comes home on Monday, that is... ^^ She's got spring break right now, but she's spending the weekend at her friend's house in Austria, to go skiing. It'll be the last chance for this winter season, so it's a good thing she's got the time. I hope she's having fun... I'll know tonight. :)

Also, we finally have a date for the first hearing on my still-husband's case against the insurance company. It's in May, so we'll be gearing up for that soon. So far, the insurance company is denying everything and saying that they won't compromise. We'll see...

Business-wise, I've come to realize that selling via Amazon.de was a good choice. Once I've got the next print-run of the mangas that are selling best, I'll be also placing the books with the large distributors here. So I'm hoping to have things moving upward this year - finally. Keep your fingers crossed!

On the personal front, I'm still on the diet. Haven't reached my goal yet, but I'm seeing progress.

On the other hand, since I've decided to start playing Devil May Cry 4 (PC), I'm not getting much exercise - except for my fingers, that is... ;) So maybe I should try to put a time-limit on that? I'm *such* a gamer... *sigh* It's not just that I love to play, it's the challenge, the wanting to get to the next level (or mission, in this case) and the story. I want to know what comes next - just like reading a good book! :) So instead of going to bed at a proper time, I play... >.<

Have to finish my taxes. >.<

Looking forward to framing and mounting the great GW painting that kracken did for me. ^^ If you haven't seen it yet, you can oogle it here.

Going to make tea now...

It's nice here today too... I feel like I ought to be outside doing something instead of in here on the net! ^o^

That's what my neighbor lady said today when I looked out. She kind of hinted (strongly) that my garden needs... work. ^^

Didn't feel like it though. Went back inside and am now debating between watching a DVD and playing more DMC (for the hot guys, of course... *snicker*).

Oh yeah... I don't think I ever left the house. >_>

Well, I ended up doing garden work yesterday, after all. Now I have thorns in my fingers and my hands hurt. But I've made progress... ^^

Oh dear... >.>

Well, that's something, at least. So *some* rays of sunshine had a chance to hit your skin... ;)

Well, not with the over-hang on the house. And then it snowed today. ~_~

I'm glad, too. I need things to finally move forward. I've been more or less in limbo for years now, and it's been driving me crazy...

No matter the fact that I don't really know how I'm going to swing everything financially - I still want change and forward movement. I'll figure out the rest as I go along.

Quiet is good. I wallow in it! Though, since he still has a key and everything, I keep expecting him to show up at odd times. So there's a kind of inner tension that doesn't *quite* go away. Yet. We'll have to work out a modus where I know when he comes, and we have sort of "visiting hours". We'll get there...

It sounds like spring is really bringing good things to you!

I'm glad there is actual physical movement of a body out the door. That is always a sticking point and even if it is amicable, it still has to be a relief to you.

Plus, renting out the rooms prevents the boomarang effect. The extra income should give you a cushion to get the business up and running. It sounds all good.

*sigh* I haven't actually started my taxes yet. Counting on fingers and toes, it still adds up to 11 days.

It sure does! :)

Yes, despite all the things that we haven't worked out yet (finances, debts, house, divorce agreements etc.), I wanted things to move forward. And him being physically out of the house is one of those things.

I have to see about getting good renter. Right now, with the economy the way it is, it isn't easy. But I'll manage. Though, right now, I'm enjoying the quiet tremendously.

Oh, I'm halfway through - I just can't get myself motivated to do the rest... *sigh*

It's wise to take some time to find a good person because once there, it's usually very difficult to get her/him out if things go bad, especially if they can't pay.

I pulled together all the papers with tax info on them and found last year's completed forms, so that's something. I have some motivation because I need to figure out how to afford a big expenditure, but I guess I'm afraid to see what I get back and realize it just won't be enough.
