I'm freezing... >.

Ever since the chimney sweep was here last week, the furnace is off. And I can't get it started again. So, no heat in the house. At least we have hot water, which we get from the solar panels on the roof. But temperatures are starting to go down and it's getting unpleasant to sit all the time in the office. I can't work when I'm cold. >.<

I hate cold.

Gonna try reaching the chimney sweep again.

No! Cold is not good. I've always thought though that it was better than hot. At least cold gives you the option of bundling up.

I just bought a slanket. Have you heard of them over there? It's a blanket with sleeves and a high neck so you can still bundle and work at the same time.

Is your furnace gas or electric? I'm guessing electric if you can't get a space heater.

I've been trying to get multiple options in my house, but solar so far is not offered. Are you filtering the hot water to get some hot drinks?

I handle hot weather (or heat) *much* better than cold. Especially my arthritic hands don't do cold well at all. And it doesn't matter *how* many blankets or sweaters I put on, once I start *feeling* cold, I don't get warm again. I feel like there's ice in my bones, instead of warm blood. *brrrr*

A slanket? >.> Never heard of it! That sounds like a great idea! I'm going to have to go look for one of those. It would certainly be a help for when I'm sitting long hours in front of the computer. :)

The furnace runs on oil. Unfortunately. I'd love to switch to something more ecological, but I don't have the money for that right now... *sigh* I could use a space heater - still have one of those from the old house - but that would drive up my electric bill, and I've *just* managed to lower it nicely.

We've got three panels up on the front roof which heat up the use water. Since the water isn't touched in any way by the process, I can drink it unfiltered. It's the same water as flows out of the cold faucet, just heated up. But by using the sun instead of the furnace. Except for very cloudy or rainy days, where the furnace has to make up the temperature difference, we always have plenty of *really* hot water this way. ^^

*helps you smack him*

He was supposed to be here between 9 and 10 am. It's 10:30 am now. >.<

If I'd let them, I'd be piled four deep with cats, yes. ^^

Nope. Burner is broken. Repairs *might* be made tomorrow. If he gets the parts he needs. Cold shower this morning, because the solar panels hadn't heated up the water yet. I think I'll take a hot one this evening, just to warm up. *sigh*
