Bracelet Commissions

Dear Flist,

since I really need to earn a bit of money extra (I have some fairly large, unexpected expenses coming up) I'm offering bracelet commissions (Since I can't draw, and unlike kracken I can't offer great story commissions, all I have left is my crafts.). I know I've never done something like this, so I hope you bear with me.

Feel free to share this entry with anyone who might be interested! ^__^

Details under the cut, since the images are a bit large.

I'm offering bracelet commissions for EURO 10 per bracelet (sorry - I have to pay my bills in EUROs, you know... Besides, the $$ is doing really well against the EURO right now. ^__^).

You can choose from the following:

These are the cords. They're shiny satin cords. Notice that they come in two different thicknesses. Choose one of the thicknesses. You can choose two colors for each bracelet:

These are the two patterns that I am offering - again, you can choose from one of them.

These are the clasps that I use (I will choose the color depending on the colors of the cord - unless you insist on a special clasp color - available is gold and silver). The clasps are approx. 1 inch/2,5 cm in width, so please remember that when you tell me the length of the cord that you'd like.

The finished bracelets will have a thickness approx. like a ballpoint pen.

When you send me your commission, please use the following form:

Cord size and color: [for example S a and S m]
Pattern: [for example Pattern A]
Length: [please give me the length of the bracelet *WITHOUT* the clasp - for example, you want a bracelet that is 8 inches/20 cm long all around - then you give me a length of 7 inches/17,5 cm]
Your LJ name and where I will be shipping to:

I will contact you and give you my paypal account and the shipping costs. They won't be too high, because the bracelets fit into a regular small envelope.

If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask. :)

[Yes, sunhawk16, I'm already working on yours. I've finally figured out the pattern that I want... ^___^;]

Soooo... it wouldn't be any problem to toss in a pattern A out of the L bracket cord in G and Q (assuming those colors look in real life like they do on my monitor). For the kid? Since, you know, you'll be shipping my way anyway. ^^;

*ggg* I think I can handle that. How long should the bracelet be? Or rather, what's the length if you measure her wrist all around? I'll deduct the clasp from that...

That reminds me - did I ever get the length of *your* bracelet? >.>

Since that's a wide one, the clasp is smaller. I just need to know the circumference of your wrist.

Hmmm... seems to be about 6 1/2 to 7 inches for the both of us.

So... the only question that remains is... with our without beads? :)

Do you want to see what it looks like without beads?

Edit: The other one's done, also - I just have to wait for the fastenings to get delivered (tomorrow, I hope).

Without, I think, I'm more for the simple look. ^_____^

Ok. Here's the bracelet the way it looks now:

*PLEASE* let me know whether you like this color combination! It's four strands of various blues and four of various violets, held together by black (Deathscythe) and white (Wing) strands.

*DON'T* just say you like it because *I* made it. I *know* what it's like to own something that you don't really like, but felt you had no choice in buying because a friend did it for you (I have that problem with drawing commissions sometimes).

So please be honest. It's no problem to redo this in less shades. There are always 8 inside strings - these provide the color scheme - and two side strings - these form the structure of the bracelet. So I could also do this with only a simple blue and violet on the inside - always alternating the colors - and black and white (or only black, or only white) - or any other color (see pics above for choices) that you would like to see used.

It's like a little fandom rainbow! ^o^ I like it... it's really unique and still fandomy. Subtle! No one will ever know, and yet it will make we grin all the time. ^______^

I'm glad you like. As soon as I've gotten the fastenings for the other bracelet, I'll send you pics of both and the price. Is that ok?
