Wanted to write a short post yesterday, but then my business partner arrived and we spent the whole day in what could be called a strategy meeting. Until 00:30 am, to be precise... A good 13 hours, that was! We *did* take breaks for lunch and dinner, of course, but the rest of the time was spent talking about, and trying to decide, the future of our combined company.
One thing is clear to the both of us: this is it! We've both been waffling a bit, not sure whether we were 100 % ready to commit ourselves to this venture. However, after last night, be both know that yes, this is what we want to be doing, to the exclusion of (almost) anything else.
Almost means, she *still* has to finish her degree. And I *still* have to earn money with a side job, until our company makes enough to pay us both a salary.
But aside from these two considerations, there are no other projects in our lives, except our publishing company.
I will be closing down both my Etsy and Dawanda shop. So if you ever wanted what I was offering there, now's the time to pick it up.
I'm also going to close down the Lemonshop after this coming weekend's convention in Kempten. So if, by any chance, you should be in Kempten, you can get really good bargains on everything! :) And I'm taking the doujinshis off the LJ selling journal.
I haven't updated the doujinshis, so not everything might be available anymore. If there's anything there that you want, let me know, and I'll check to make sure it's still in stock.
Of course I'll still be doing creative stuff in my (little) free time. But not trying to build it up a major source of income. If I do create something an like it well enough to sell it, I'll post it here. Thus I don't have to maintain an online presence (coupled with blogs and Twitter and Facebook and whatever else) for these endeavours. I'll be directing *those* energies towards building up a good online presence for our Publishing Company!
The only thing I'll still be doing frequently is take pictures. Can't go anywhere without my trusty camera. ^^; And I'll continue to upload those to DeviantArt, but only as a hobby.
It's a really strange feeling knowing for the first time in my life *precisely* what I want to be doing! And why! :) Took me long enough! *laughs*
And to end the post properly, have a pic of my hedge in all its autumn glory:
