Good... morning? >.>

Hm... I think it's more like, "Good Afternoon"! (I've been working on this post on and off all day now... *GG*)

Woke up late today. But I decided that I needed to kind of sleep ahead, since I'm going to have to get up early tomorrow to drive Cilli to the orthodontist... We have to be there by 9:30, so that means leaving latest at 8:30. And getting up at 7. Definitely *not* my time... ^^;

Spent all day waffling back and forth between work and reading and taking photos. Not very effective today... >.< Maybe it's the weather. Within one day it's gone from icy cold and snow to warm and rainy. You just can't keep up with it...

When I downloaded my mails this morning, all I had were advertisements and SPAM. Just how pathetic is *that*? >.> I really should do something about my lack of socializing. Then again... that tends to take time. And I already spend enough time on places like DeviantArt and Yaoi!Gallery and LiveJournal and...

Had my accounting class again last night. Right now I'm totally confused. It's probably just a question of actual *understanding*, but right now, that's eluding me. I'm sure that one of these days I'll sit here and go "EUREKA!" and will have understood what our instructor is talking about. But that's currently not happening... yet.

Last week, my still-husband's foot had been operated on for the third time. But, as they say, three's a charm, because it's really looking like the foot is *finally* healing! I think that they'd gotten an infection in there when they operated the first time, and it wasn't until the cleaned it out in this operation that the foot could finally start to heal. Still, he's staying with me until we can be *sure* that everything will be fine. >.< So my living room is still occupied by him. He tested his driving abilities today, but I haven't asked him yet how that came out. At least he came back home safely, so I guess everything went well... We'll see how much longer he decides to stay here...

(Re-)Discovered Amy Butler yesterday. I found one of her patterns that I'd bought *ages* ago in my stack of sewing magazines. Decided to check out her webpage (for those who are interested, you can find it here: Amy Butler Homepage) and almost died of pattern and fabric overload! I had to forcibly stop myself from immediately going to a German online shop that carries Amy Butler fabrics and buying everything in sight! *sigh* I'm *sooo* susceptible to pretty things! Oh, the shiny!

But I've decided to buy some of her patterns and make Xmas presents myself. I already have a good stack of fabric here (*not* Amy Butler, unfortunately, but IKEA will do just as well...) and that should do just fine. :) I think I'm going to make a big Gum Drop Pillow for my mother, to put her feet up on, and a Yoga Bag for my stepsister. Hm... don't know about the others... but I'll think of something... :) I have to approach sewing slowly, since I haven't done it in a *loooong* time... :)

Collecting and writing Xmas cards to send out. ^^ Should be done by the end of the week. ^___^;

Hm... I need another cup of tea... *wanders off*

You think so? Because especially with my stepsisters I often get the feeling that if it's not posh, or ritzy, or hip, or *expensive*, it's not really appreciated...

And this year, I'm not really in a position to do a lot of Xmas shopping... So that's why I thought I'd make things myself.

It's true! You actually get out of practice! When I think of all the embroidery I used to do! Wow... I'm not sure I could do that now!

Medieval Clothing? Really? How very cool! ^___^

Lime green? O.o

Naahh... I'm going exactly the opposite road. I'm going to try to make this as pretty and useful as possible - so she feels really guilty when she doesn't use it!

I used to be in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism), and I hand-sewed most of my outfits in the beginning, because I didn't have a sewing machine. Later on, I made costumes for myself for the medieval markets that we went to. I'm not sure whether I still have a photo of that... Have to go digging through my photo collection.

Ah... those were the times... ^___^

That part about telling someone what you think of them... yeah... I've been debating that, too. Because dear Stepsister has managed to hold a grudge about *one* single sentence statement that I'd made in a hurry on Facebook - for FOUR months! And whenever we saw each other, or happened to talk on the phone (not very often), she makes nice and happy-happy. Instead of telling me straight up that there's a problem and would I please clear it up with her?

*stab stab stabbity stab*

I *HATE* that... >.

Ye Gods! She must go into apoplectic fits every time she sees you - knowing what you do! ^__^

She doesn't happen to have kids, does she? I always wish a gay kid on people like these...

Yeah! I think I'm going to be making one of those for myself, too! I wish I could afford the fabrics... but for now, IKEA will have to do (it's a 10-20 Euro/$13-26 difference between the fabrics).

Accounting stuff
I have a Bachelor's in Accounting so maybe I can help you understand things. Let me know, if you want me to try and help that is. ^_^

Re: Accounting stuff
A Bachelor in Accounting? There *is* such a thing? O.O Oh wow! I bow before you!

It's more a question of concept. The words that are used in (German) accounting mean one thing for 'normal' people, and another for accounting people. Since so far I've been on the 'non-accounting' side, I keep getting the concepts confused.

Re: Accounting stuff
There are always differences in terminology between "normal" and any specific group, such as accountants. You might want to make a cross-reference chart, it might help eliminate the confusion. ^_^

Oh, I'd never seen that web-site before... thanks for the link. I think... *loses more spare time* :D

You're... welcome? ^^

I spent *hours* on there, looking at all the pretty pictures! And downloading the patterns. And looking at the fabrics. And...

Sooo shiny! ^^
