Need I say more? >.>

Wanted to drive to the post office to get the orders out to our customers. Nothing doing. The car doors are frozen shut. I wasn't going to start yanking on the handles because I was afraid they'd come off.... So... Post office run tomorrow. When the sun is shining (hopefully) and thawing my car.

It's supposed to go down to -12°C/10.4°F tonight... *brrrr* Snow again tomorrow... We're having a proper winter this year...

Oh, shit. Owwwwwww. That has got to suck. Despite living in the desert, it's obscenely cold here. This morning the temperature was down to 15°F, so I kind of feel your pain. If you really need to leave though, I would suggest warming up a towel in the dryer and then putting it over the door. We had to do that last year when our car got all icicle-fied.

Good luck, lady!

I decided to simply leave it and try again tomorrow.

My car is a little... elderly... ^__^; So even if I get the door *open*, I won't get it *closed* again (the lock won't engange)... *gg* I've been cinching it closed from the inside with a tension belt so far, whenever I absolutely *had* to go somewhere. Once the car has warmed up, I can pull over for a moment, undo the belt and the door will close just fine...

That's what you get for living near the Alps... ^^

European winter! It must be dazzling!

*pauses to curse pilgrim ancestors*

Must be a shock to Cilli's system, just back from sunny Oz and all. :)

Weeelll... yes... it is. When the sun is shining. And the sky is a clear, burning blue. And the snow crystallizes and glitters and glints off everything like shards of clearest diamonds. And the air is clean and tastes of cold.

I haven't heard from her today (she no longer feels that it is necessary to keep me up to date daily... *sigh*), but for now she seems to be holding up quite well. It took her a few days to adjust, though. But she loves winter and snow, too, so it's not *too* bad. ^^

I knew it! When it snows the towns must look like rows of frosted gingerbread houses, or the scenes we put inside snowglobes. GAH. :)

Not my village, but the next larger one, yes. ^^ Especially in the evening, when all the decorations are lit and the snow covers everything...

Hm... Maybe if I manage to get to one of the Xmas markets in the evening, I could take pictures... *ponders*

I'll trade you. It was 80 by the time I left work this afternoon.

Oh yes! Please!

*tries to determine whether she has enough money for a plane ticket*

I *hate* the cold... >.

And I'm tired of it already. *sigh*

I can imagine! You probably have even more than we do...

I hate when the car doors freeze shut!

The sad part is that it's not even technically winter yet (my meteorology professor, who also taught astronomy), used to say that although astronomically it's not winter until late December, meteorologically winter is Dec 1.

Well, it's certainly winter enough for me! ^___^ Everything's covered with white and it's *very* cold. I was out taking pictures and feeding the birds this morning, and almost froze my fingers off...

As far as I'm concerned, it could stop *right now* and go back to summer. ^^
