Going to bed...

It was fun, but I have a long day tomorrow.

And no, I'm *not* going to justify myself to someone about what I write and why I write it.

Don't like? Don't read.

Good night, my dears!

(I *like* that icon... ^^ )

Amen to that!

"Don't like? Don't read."

Oh, you. Of course it can't be that simple! Everyone on the internet is supposed to make exceptions for those Special Snowflakes with Delicate Sensibilities who just can't click the goddamned Back button.

I love how you handle yourself. <3

(And now I'm reminded of the GW Doujinshi That Shall Not Be Named, that you and Pam did, and the bouncy cosplayers Jo and I were hiding it from. ^^)

I'm a firm believer of taking responsibility for what you do. Yes, and even on the net.

If there's something (a story, a picture etc.) that makes me uncomfortable, I will not read/look at it. That's taking responsibility for myself.

I read this Gabriel's rant about Amarissia's story on his own journal, and there he says "I don't care about the: Don't Like, Don't Read policy. In fact, I think, no scratch that, I KNOW it is a load of bull used to cover up the fact that they know what they're writing is downright wrong, disgusting and plain repulsive."

By now I'm convinced that this young man needs *serious* help. And I wonder what he's doing here on the internet - being egged on by his supposed sister - when all it does is make things worse for him. Where are his folks? Where are the people responsible for making sure he doesn't hurt himself more?

Fishy. Very fishy.

But... I'm getting a good giggle out of it, and am adding it to my treasure box of experiences. Who knows, maybe it'll show up in a story one day... ^^

I have to confess, I *still* love that DJ. *blush*

Wasn't it fun, though? *ggggg*

I read that too. Someone sure sees himself as a great big Special Snowflake. "Whaa, I don't have to take responsibility for anything! Everyone must cater to my Delicate Sensibilities! Now watch me post a huge, PUBLIC, unnecessarily detailed account of my rape, because..." Uh, except I can't figure out why someone would do something so stupid. Attention whoring?

Hahah yes, it was fun selling that. ^^ The trauma ended up being pretty hilarious in the end. <3

Maybe he's not getting enough attention in his family? Or it's being discounted? The interesting thing is, I've read both his journal (there being only *one* entry) and that of his 'sister', twiggyboredom. Interesting that twiggy has only been here on LJ for four months. And *his* journal is pretty new, and all that's there is his rant.

She never mentions her brother needing her, or her having to take care of him, or needing to support him. She didn't even post the whole amarissia thing on her LJ... And she says things like "My brother just ditched me, again, not that I mind, means I can get some peace and quiet. XD So anyway, while he is out fornicating holding hands or eating chocolate with his boyfriend". >.>

I thought he's got this *huge* problem because of his rape...?

Makes me *really* wonder... They don't ring true. On the contrary, it sounds like these kids are *out* to harass authors who post things they don't like.

Wonder whether it's time to put a stop to that...

Oh yes! *gg* Pity we don't have another one to do that with... *sigh* No coming to Y!Con at the moment...

Yeah, it smacks of dishonest, staged, witch-hunting to me. I've got no patience for it. But then, I guess I'm getting too OLD and surly. Insert the macro: "Get off my lawn, you damned kids!" ;p

I can't go this year either. Woe. I miss you all.

It seems that one of them actually sort of admitted that that's their purpose. >.>

I'd love to smack them down. I'd really love to. >.<

I'm aiming for next year... We'll see...

Wow. They sound really, REALLY new to the internet, and fan fiction in general. Haven't they got homework to do?
Oct. 14th, 2011 05:51 pm (UTC)
Looks like not. They're busy being intellectual and policing the fandom into writing 'realism'.

I think I'm starting to become really tired of that word...

In FANdom. >.>

They're not gonna last long with that attitude.

I can only hope that in the next five to ten years they finally realize their high horse is only about three inches off the ground.
