Back home...

Hi all.

Thank you so much for all your good wishes for our success!

We had a long, long week, a busy week, an interesting

You can find pics of our booth here.

We drove up to Frankfurt on Tuesday, with as much as we could fit into my car. We'd taken 6 boxes of books - two of which were zombiesmile's new Manga "Lost and Found". (You can find a preview of it here: "Lost and Found"). We came back with three boxes - and only 6 books left of "Lost and Found".

The booth was small, but just right for us. We presented all our books and even had several business meetings! O.O Many people walked by and saw our big banner and commented on our booth. There were also lots of people who'd already heard of us, but hadn't had the opportunity to actually look at our stuff. So all in all, while it was a *really* long week - and we had to get up terribly early every morning (is not a morning person) - we are very pleased with the results.

Now I have to work my way through all the orders that came in in the meantime. And start up a folder with all the Book Fair Info and stuff in it. So that we know what to do better next time. :)

*hugs all*

Little sleep, but lots of good experience. We'll do it again next year. :)

We tried to be very serious and official. ^^

But we ended up forgetting to take our business information in English! We only had our German stuff with us. *headdesk* Oh well, next time. :)

Thank you. ^^

Ooooh that is OUCH! *LOL*
(meeee can't understand a lick of German)

Her preview of new manga looked nice, too.
I noticed she used a Japanese character in the background...
Helps to be a multi-lingual to makes things interesting huh (^_^)

Yeah. We were sitting there and it suddenly hit us - we were at an *international* book fair! Never mind that it's in Frankfurt... *sigh*

Her mother did the kanji for us. Zombiesmile can read and certainly speak, but writing isn't that easy. As I can confirm. ^^

At least, living together with her, I'm learning more Japanese... :)

Cool! I'm so glad it went well. Zombiesmile is really good.

Yes, I'm so glad she decided to choose *me* as her publisher... We have two more projects coming up together and I think they will both be really, really good! ^^

All that hard work is paying off for you. So glad to hear it! Mornings are always rough. Are you a coffee or a tea person to get the day going?

Well, I'd be kind of disappointed if nothing came from all our work... But I'm quite confident. ^^

I'm a tea person. I'll take coffee in the afternoon, but in the morning I need my Earl Grey Tea. ^^

You are Da Boss! ^o^ Looks very professional and organized. I'm glad you had a good trip even if you are all tuckered out now. *snugs*

I made sure that I was always dressed professionally. Except on Sunday, where we had the public in and it was all madness. And of course we needed to pack up afterwards, so I dressed more casual. :)

I'm catching up on my sleep, not keeping to my own office hours this week. What good is being Da Boss, if you can't set your own hours? ;)
