That means getting the house ship-shape. Considering that I've been a more than indifferent cleaner in the last few months, that means *work*!
So far, I've done the ground floor and the basement. Made my daughter and my husband do cleaning work, too. I'll continue with the first floor tomorrow, right after breakfast, so I should be done by the time they come at around noon.
I'm not making everything shiny, shiny. That would take more days than I care to invest at the moment. But I can get it looking fairly good - cat hairs all vacuumed, floors mopped, beds made, books shelved and so on. I will ignore things like the jungle that is my garden, and those strange looking, dusty square things that seem to be my windows... if my in-laws are upset by rampantly growing plants and unwashed windows, they're *more* than welcome to go do something about it.
My fingers hurt now. I'm almost done cooling down (I was sweating like I'd run a marathon by the time I was done), so I think I'll head to bed.
The handymen are also coming tomorrow morning, to take care of a variety of things around the house - among other things, the hedge. It's starting to take over the sidewalk, so it's high time that I get it cut. I can't do it myself, because of my hands, and I won't have my husband do it, because of his handicap. That's what strapping young men are for. ;)
So. Quick hop into the shower, and then to bed! :)
